It all began in 2013, when we fell in love with our first recue, Jasper. We knew nothing about horses and certainly had no idea the journey this boy would take us on! Owning a campground at the time, allowed us to meet a variety of inspiring people who helped us through our new self- discovery. As the years passed by, we could never say no to a new horse or other animal in need of a gentle landing, and so; our family grew!
We knew that these animals, with their experiences would certainly need time to learn to trust again and we were happy to provide that for them, little did we know, they would turn our life around and teach us, each and every day!
We observed the campers who came to visit them and listened to their experiences and how these animals would make them feel and realized that we needed to explore this furher. However, as a business owner, the time was just not there to be able to give this our all. We still worked with certain individuals that were having a hard time in life, allowed these beautiful animals to help them regain their confidence, conqueer their fears, learn to trust and heal!
In 2018, a family member lost their battle with depression. Our hearts certainly shifted and we knew from that moment on, that we found our life's purpose and that each and everyone of these animals would play a part in helping as many hearts as possible. In his memory, we vowed to make this dream a reality at all cost! ...And here we are today!
We are building our dream, one day at the time and hoping to inspire others to do the same. We have sold our business and purchased a new paradise for our fur family and all of those who will need their gentle touch in the future. We know it will take time to build, but for now, we are ready to embark on a self-healing journey with you! Hands & Hooves healing together.
We truly believe that all healing is self-healing and we are only facilitators, to assist you in that journey!
